God’s Salvation: Important Facts to Remember

Salvation is a gift from God, no works is required. Salvation is a personal choice and belongs to God. In Genesis 1:1, God says He is the sole Supreme eternal being, Creator and ruler of all and He is infinite in all His attributes. God says in His Holy Word that we are to look to Him to be saved because He is God and there is no other. Salvation from sin and death is found in God only. The salvation of God is given through His amazing grace and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 3:26)

First, we are sinners and live under a death sentence. The truth of God is found in His Word and the Word of God in the Holy Bible. Therefore, everything you hear about God and His Word is to be proven by you in your Holy Bible and Bible Study to your spirit by the Holy Spirit of God. (2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:21; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:16) The Lord God gives wisdom to discern His truth to anyone who ask Him. (James 1:5) God’s promises and truth is available to all who seek Him in spirit and truth. (1 John 2:27-28. There are many false teachers throughout the world today. (1 John 4:7) God is truth is in His Word. God’s truth will never contradict His Word. (Matthew 22:29)

As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.” (Romans 3:10,11)

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceived ourselves and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)

Second, God loves us and provided a plan of salvation for humanity.

“For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not parish but have eternal life.” (John 3-16)

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:9,10)

Third, the Lord Jesus Christ paid for the penalty of our sin on calvary cross.

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” (1 Peter 3:18)

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:14,15)

“God demonstrates His won love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

Fourth, our Lord Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

“And he brought them out and said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ So, they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.’” (Acts 16:30,31)

“He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who do not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)

“For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is make unto salvation. For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.’ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.’” (Romans 10:9-13)

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3)

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of Salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)

“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)

Sinner’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin, and I ask you to forgive me. I open the door of my heart and received you as my Lord and Savior. Take control of my life and begin making me that person you want me to be. Thank You, Lord Jesus for saving me. In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

The process of salvation is confession, repentance, forgiveness, conversation, salvation (born again of the water and the Spirit) and all performed by God in us, by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 8:36); Romans 8:2). Lord Jesus put to death on His cross our captivity, our bondage to sin and released us, set us free to live with God now, today and in the new heaven and earth to come.

Remember, the power of God is released to us by knowing the Word of God. If you are feeling hopeless and disconnected to God, go to God’s Holy Scriptures, study and meditate in His Work and you will be strengthened. Confess and repent of your sin before God’s throne of grace and He will hear you, forgive you, and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. (1 Timothy 4:15; Psalm 1:2)

Pray without ceasing – (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Always pray to receive God’s wisdom (James 1:5), God’s truth before and after you read your Holy Bible to allow the Holy Spirit of God to feed your soul and spirit with the living Word of God.

Your daily walk with the Lord should include reading your Bible every day; talking to God in Prayer daily and finding a church where the Bible is taught as the Word of God. Life is short but eternity is forever!! “Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am alpha and omega, the beginning, and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do His commandments that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.” (Revelation 22:12-14,21)

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to see Your goodness when I am feeling lost and upset. Lord God, thank You for Your plan of salvation through faith in Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. I welcome You always into my heart. Heavenly Father, tough times have been a great teacher to me. I am grateful that You are my refuge and strength as well as my light leading me forward into Your eternal light forevermore. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
