Words of Encouragement and Hope

Good morning,

Another day to tell the Lord thank you. When you focus only on what you can get from God, the posture of your heart reflects that. Your focus becomes set on things you have instead of what God has already done for you. And that affects every area of your life. It affected every area of mine!

But when I started resting in God’s presence, not focusing only on what I could get from Him, but what I could give to Him and thanking Him for what He had already given me, it set me free and opened my eyes to see how I can bless His heart through my worship.

Deuteronomy 10:8 NKJV shows us, “At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister to Him and to bless in His name, to this day.”

The truth is worship and praise have always been designed for us to give more than we get. And yet, God loves to bless us! It is a beautiful exchange, a giving of ourselves to Him and receiving what He has for us in return.

Good morning,

Another day to tell the Lord thank you. The world thinks intimacy occurs in the dark, but God says it happens in the light. We tend to use darkness to hide our hurts, faults, fears, failures, and flaws. But when we bring these into the light, we can admit who we really are.

Being authentic requires both courage and humility. It means facing our fear of exposure, rejection, or being hurt again.

Why would anyone take such a risk?

Because it’s the only way to grow spiritually and become emotionally healthy.

The Bible says, make this your common practice: “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16) and “This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.” (John 1:7-9)
