1. Know that God loves you and is always with you.  He will sustain you through your greatest burdens.

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.”

 (Psalm 55:22)

2. Know that the Lord does not condemn you or accuse you.  He offers His love, joy, and peace.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of

sin and of death.”  (Romans 8:1-2)

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”  (1 John 4:4)

3. Know that the Lord has a plan for good in store.  Whatever you face now, no matter how dark or challenging it may seem, will not remain the same.  There is hope still ahead of you.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to

give you a future and a hope.”  (Jeremiah 29:11)

Remember that there is power in God’s Word and praying it back to Him when you pray.  The Word of God will not return to you void but will accomplish great and mighty things.  (Isaiah 55:11)

Scripture Verses on Suicide and Finding Hope

“Now when Ahithophel saw that his advice was not followed, he saddled a donkey, and arose and went home to his house, to his city.  Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died; and he was buried in his father’s tomb.”  (2 Samuel 17:23)

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”  (Isaiah 41:10)

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says, the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”  (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

“For I am persuaded that neither death or life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created things, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  (Romans 8:38-39)
