The Lord is My Shepherd: A Psalm of David

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” ~ Psalm 23 (KJV)

Prayer:

Lord God, You are my faithful heavenly Father. You keep all your promises and your covenant with me. (Deuteronomy 7:9) Thank you for Your daily provision in my life. (Luke 11:3) I can rejoice in the knowledge that You always supply all of my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ. (Philippians 4:19) It’s a great comfort and blessing to me to know that you know all my needs even before I say them to You. (Matthew 6:8) I rejoice in the truth that You wish above all things that I would prosper and be in health, and that my soul would prosper too. (3 John 2) I delight myself in You, Lord, and I am happy that You are giving me the desires of my heart. Praise the Lord! I commit my way to You, and I trust in You, (Psalm 37:3-5) therefore, I know that You will bring everything I need in my life for my good. (Romans 8:28) I delight in You, Lord, my shepherd, and I know that Your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen. (Psalm 23:6)
