Joy in God’s Salvation

Salvation means to be redeemed or delivered from sin and its punishment of death and set free to know, love and serve God our heavenly Father. The Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). God our heavenly Father is holy. Sin cannot enter His presence, for Psalm 97:2 says, “righteousness and judgment are the habitation of His throne.” The Bible states, “Therefore whoever confesses (Jesus Christ) before men, the Lord will also confess before His Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32). “For the wages of sin is death … (Romans 6:23a); but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23b).

Scripture Verses for Meditation:

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” ~ Romans 8:28

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” ~ Psalm 118:8

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice! Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
~ Philippians 4: 4, 6, 7

“Then He (Jesus Christ) said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.’” ~ Luke 9:23

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.’” “Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?” “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” ~ Matthew 7: 13, 14, 21-23

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” ~ John 4:23, 24

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
