Why is the Bible Important?

2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Bible from Genesis to Revelation directs us into communion with God and bring us into His sanctuary. The Book of Psalms gives us a summary of the Old and New Testaments, and the message regarding the first coming of Christ the Messiah. We should read the Bible daily for its is timeless. 1Peter 1:24-25 says, “All flesh is as grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the LORD endures forever.”

The Bible according to Psalm 119:72 is timeless and more valuable than all riches in the world. “The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of corns of gold and silver.” When you read and meditate on the word of God in the Bible daily it assures and strengthen us to keep the faith through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “This Book of Law shall not depart from your mouth, but shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
