Trust in the LORD God: Your Ability Doesn’t Matter

Good morning another day to tell the LORD thank you. Your Ability Doesn’t Matter.

A few years before this face-to-face encounter with God, Moses had committed the sin of murder and was on the run, trying to escape the consequences of his actions. He had spent the next forty years in the desert, taking care of his father-in-law’s cattle. It seemed like an improper punishment for defending his people, the Jews. Nevertheless, he was a criminal and, that is why, he hid his face when the Angel of the LORD appeared to him at the burning bush.

Yet God chose him to conduct His plan of bringing the Israelites out of Egypt. Moses should have felt privileged. Instead, he started making excuses to wriggle out of the situation. God not only explained His plan but also promised to equip Moses with all the tools necessary for executing this plan and assured him that He will be with him all the way. What more could anyone ask for?

My dear brothers and sisters, when God speaks to us, conveying His will for our lives, He does not look at our past history or our natural abilities. God knows each one of us too well to recognize of what we are capable. He is looking for those that are willing to do His will. Scripture says, God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). We should not try to rationalize God’s commands but have an attitude and equips us for His knowing that God is with us all the way. When God calls us, He gives us the ability and equips us for His glory. Just like Moses, He will be with you and carry you to the end. (Exodus 3:9-10). Loving God Always.

Scripture Verses for Meditation

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD that to put confidence in princes.” (Psalm 118:8-9 NKJV)

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are heavens are higher that the earth, so are My ways higher that your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV)

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 19:11-13 NKJV)

              Moses at the Burning Bush

“Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3: 9-10 NKJV)

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Psalm 23:6 NKJV)

Thank You, LORD, for sending Your goodness to me and pursing me daily with Your grace and mercy. Heavenly Father, change my heart, thoughts, life, and circumstances as You will. God, fill me and my life with Your holy presence. Let Your will be done in my life on earth. LORD, show me how to work together with those around me in the spirit of Your love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
