The Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

Are You Ready?

Matthew 24:30 says, “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will morn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”  The Lord will keep His promise regarding the rapture.  The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will come in two phases the first phase He will return in the air the meet the body of Christ in the clouds on a day and hour that no one knows but His Father in heaven. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) The second phase of His coming will be when He returns from heaven with the Body of Christ His Church to the earth at the beginning of the one thousand years millennium. (Revelation 19:11-16)

You can get ready now for His return by doing what He commands:

Be Born Again

The Lord Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  (John 3:3) Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old?  Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”  Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, “unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’” (John 3:4-7)

Repent and Believe

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.  Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

(March 1:15)

Open Your Heart to the Lord Jesus

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”  “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:20-21)

Believe He is God

… that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

Receive Eternal Life

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

(Romans 6:23)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be save.  He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (John 3:16-21)

No one knows when our Lord Jesus Christ is coming again.  If you want to be ready for His return, you can start right now with this sinner’s prayer:

Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and I ask you to forgive me.  I open the door of my heart and receive you as my Lord and Savior.  Take control of my life and begin making me that person you want me to be.  Thank you, Lord Jesus for saving me.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

“You shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.” (Joshua 1:8)

“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.  For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:10, 23)

“How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3)

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)

“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)

Your daily walk with Lord should include reading your Bible every day; talking to God in prayer daily and finding a church where the Bible is taught as the Word of God.  Life is short but eternity is forever!!  “Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with Me, to give to everyone according as his work.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen. (Revelation 22:12-14, 21)
