Prayers and Words of Comfort in Time of Need

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13) NKV

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

Because we are all human, we have all sinned.” (Romans 3:23). On our own, none of us can escape being found guilty.” (Romans 6:23a)

But Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth and accepted the punishment for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:12). His suffering, death, and resurrection have made us free to begin our lives again if we live according to His Word.” (1 John 1:7)

In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Paul says, “I asked for strength that I might achieve; I was made weak that I might obey. I asked for health that I might do greater things; I was given grace that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy; I was given poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might enjoy all things. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life; I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I received nothing that I asked for, all that I hoped for, my prayer was answered.”

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.” (Psalm 61:1-4) KJV

Lord God, Help me to serve You and my mission and purpose You have given me through Christ my Lord and Savior and to give Your message You have given me to this generation so that someday I may hear You say “well done good and faithful servant” … enter my eternal rest. In the Lord Jesus’ name. Amen.

Five Purposes on Life’s Journey to My Heavenly Home

  1. To bring God pleasure as I praise Him daily.
  2. To be used to build fellowship with God and my heavenly family.
  3. I want to be more like Jesus in the way I act, think, talk, and believe.
  4. I want to use what God has given me to spread the gospel news to others

in need of God’s love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, and self-control … all the fruit of the Holy Spirit of God.

(Galatians 5:22-23)

  1. I want to fulfill my mission in the world of sharing and telling others I meet

about the love of God.

Help me Lord to reach at least one lost soul each day for thee I pray. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

Prayer:

Father in heaven, You are the Supreme Creator, King of kings and Lord of lords, God of King David, and my God too. You reign over the universe and all that is seen and unseen and from the rising of the sun to going down of the sun You are God Almighty. Please bring peace when I am overwhelmed with the things in life. I do not know how to accomplish all the things I need to accomplish today and that I need to get done. You want me to cast all my cares on You and to trust in You with all my heart and lean not in my own understanding in what I must do today. Lord God, please hear my cries and request before Your Throne of Grace as I seek You help in time of need. Remind me each new day of You faithfulness and patience toward us. Lord God, thanks for being near to me and for hearing my cries no matter where I may be. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

NAAV’s New Year prayer is that the love of Christ and the power of His soon second coming will tough and your family. You and I may never meet, and I may never know your name. But the Lord Jesus Christ knows you and is waiting for you to ask Him to live in your heart. (Ephesians 3:16-17)

May God bless and comfort you and your family this new year with His love, joy, peace, protection, and healing of body, mind, soul, and spirit.
