BIPARTISAN SENATE AND HOUSE COMMITTEE TO EXAMINE LEGIONNAIRES’ OUTBREAK
CHICAGO – Ongoing tragic outbreaks of Legionnaire’s disease resulting in 13 deaths at the Quincy Veterans’ Home have led State Senator Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park) to call for a full legislative hearing to examine and discuss the state’s response.
Cullerton has called a joint subject matter hearing of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees to help examine the response to Legionnaire’s disease outbreaks at the veterans’ home and the protocol that needs to be put in place by the governor’s administration to prevent future outbreaks in Quincy and all veteran homes throughout Illinois.
