Begin the Day with the LORD

Have you ever wandered about how you should begin each day?  Start the day putting the LORD our God first.  Psalm 9:1-2 says, “I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.  I will sing praises to Your name, O Most High”

You may want to ask the LORD what He wants you to do for today; tell Him how you feel or you may want to thank Him for another day.  You may want to seek His guidance and directions regarding your priorities for the day.  Your purpose each day is to be in God’s perfect will and plan for your life.

Scriptural Verses:

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your glory above the heavens!”  (Psalm 8:1)

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge His, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

“…for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13)

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7)

“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)

“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.”  (Psalm 5:3)

“A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.”  (Proverbs 16:9)

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God.’” (Mark11:22)

The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”  (Isaiah 58:11)

“Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.”  (2 Thessalonians 3:5)

“I called on the LORD in destress; the LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.  The LORD is on my side; I will not fear.  What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:5-6)

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”  (John 16:13)

“For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.”  (Psalm 48:14)

“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13:15)

Prayer

Father, I love to praise You in all that I do and say.  For You loving Father deserves all the praise, glory, honor and power.  I know that you love and care for me.  Help me when I am weak and help me to get over any challenges I may have in this life.  Amen.

All Scripture verses are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible.
