In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-5, 14)
The only begotten Son of God came from heaven to earth to dwell among us. The purpose of our LORD and Savior coming to earth is to rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and receive our worship forevermore. Luke19:10 says, “He first entered the earth “to seek and to save the lost” … “to save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
He came the first time not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28)
Jesus died and rose for all born-again believers those who would believe in Him and confess Him as LORD. On the cross Christ bore our guilt and suffered the punishment due to all who believe His won perfect righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21) so that all who repent and believe could stand before God fully justified. This is God’s plan of salvation which once accepted through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our heavenly Father will freely grant eternal life. This is the gospel news regarding the greatest story ever told.
My Prayer for you is that as you read God Word, God will open your eyes to see, your heart to understand the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ who came into the world as our Messiah 100% God and 100% Man. The almighty God of the universe humbly came to earth in human flesh to seek and to save the lost. (Matthew 18:11; Luke 19:110; 5:32; Romans 5:8). I pray that you will repent of your sins and receive God’s eternal sovereign gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
