Trust in the Lord in Challenging Times

The National Association of American Veterans, Inc. (NAAV) receives hundreds of calls, over a thousand e-mail messages and millions of visits to our website every month from service members, Veterans, and their family members most in need of emergency assistance and referrals, claims and benefits assistance, and legal, housing and employment assistance nationwide.

NAAV created Moments of Meditation on its website to address the spiritual needs of its daily visitors.  It is one way that NAAV uses to express its care and concern for those in immediate need.  There is power in giving encouraging words from the Word of God.  Think about as we pray to our heavenly Father with our problems: he hears us and an unexpected blessing comes in a very supernatural way in our challenging moment.

Put your trust in the Lord and His unfailing love will see you through your greatest need.  “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things (bread, water, clothing and shelter) will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).  Fear not–The LORD is with you. “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what can man to unto me” (Psalm 56:11).  “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear.  What can men do unto me?” (Psalm 118-6).  “The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).

No matter what is happening in your life, your heavenly Father will see you through your toughest trial.  So, remember to put your trust and hope in Him, and the more you will experience His unfailing love shine through in you for better days ahead.  For the LORD God is our hope.

Scriptural Verses for Meditation:

“I Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope.” (1 Timothy 1:1)

“Our soul waits for the LORD, He is our help and our shield.  For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His hone name.  Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, just as we hope in You.” (Psalm 33:20-22)

“Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!” (Psalm 27:14)

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for offering me the priceless freedom of living each day from the chains of guilt, despair, and hopelessness.  Thank you for giving me Your Holy Spirit to direct my path laid out for me – a path leading to eternal life and happiness in Your kingdom.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

All Scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version and the New King James Version of the Bible.
