Patience: Waiting on the Lord

“Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!” ~ Psalm 27:14
“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret – it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.” ~ Psalm 37:7-9
“I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope.” ~ Psalm 130:5
“The end of a thing is better than its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” ~ Ecclesiastes 7:8
“But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
“The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” ~ Lamentations 3:25-26
“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope dos not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” ~ Romans 5:3-5
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience, but let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” ~ James 1:2-4
