Attends Christmas Breakfast at the National Conference Center

The National Association of American Veterans, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer, Constance A. Burns, attended “Breakfast with Santa” along with Charlie and Lola Johnson, Gulf War Veteran and his spouse and caregiver, at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia, on Saturday, December 2, 2017. Over 500 attended this year’s holiday special event at the Conference Center.

Families and guests of the National Conference Center enjoyed a hot breakfast buffet (including special kiddie buffet), family photo with Santa, and more holiday fun such as ginger bread decorating, reindeer food making, festive music, and children’s movie.

Ms Constance Burns and the NAAV sent my husband, Charlie, and I on a much needed Respite to our favorite place, the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA. We were there for a respite a few months ago. We knew we wanted to spend our Anniversary there, so we told Christina Berman and she said she would make it happen and with the help of Ms Burns and the NAAV it happened. The respite was great. We were invited to the breakfast with Santa, where the children and the young at heart decorated cookies, made reindeer food, etc. The most important enjoyable moment was the look on the children’s faces as they saw and spoke to Santa. The staff and service was superb as always. It’s great to have a wonderful place to rest and be stress free. My husband, Charlie, was well cared for. Thank you is simply not enough. —Charlie and Lola Johnson
