Lord, Teach Us to Pray

The LORD our God prayed without ceasing during His walk on earth as our blessed redeemer and savior. He prayed to God the Father consistently every day. Just imagine putting the LORD first in your heart every morning and evening. He so graciously waits to hear from you through the power of prayer. As you commit yourself to God each day, He will work in your heart to provide for your needs according to His perfect and complete will.

It is my prayer that this message will help encourage you to draw nearer to the LORD and live out His plans for your life on earth. This can happen by living the LORD’s way . . . one day at a time. For the LORD says, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:34).

For we know that tomorrow is not promised to no one. Therefore, it is better to give the various areas of your life to the LORD . . . one day at a time. Read your bible daily and keep in your heart the LORD God’s promises and jewels of wisdom for your soul, mind and spirit. Be willing to change and grow in the scripture verses in God’s Word daily. Be encouraged to follow the LORD step by step and day by day in handling your problems or challenges. Most of all, know that God is love and that He cares for you. Put your trust and faith in Him alone. If you believe that your prayers are not answered, let me reassure you that the LORD God hears and answers our prayers. You should never give up. For the LORD our God says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7).

The LORD will shower His blessings upon you through the power of prayer. “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19–20). Prayer increases your faith in the LORD our God and helps ease your burdens. Prayer can open your heart to His love, joy, and peace and encourage you when your days are filled with anxiety and stress. Prayer can change your life and the ones you pray for. Prayer can give you contentment and improve your relationship with others. James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
